Both The Chestnuts and Culls Cottage have been lovingly tended by our gardeners and planted for all year interest. We garden with all the senses in mind, fragrant roses, rustling grasses and sculptural box. There is always somewhere to sit, dine or just contemplate. Listen to the birdsong, marvel at the Red Kites overhead, perhaps glimpse an owl or take a nap on a lounger.

Beautiful gardens are everywhere in The Cotswolds, it is an obsession. Many villages have there own summer open garden weekends, including Shilton and Southrop.

Of course you may never want to leave your private havens but if you are looking to be inspired by other gardens, the following well respected gardens are all within easy reach:

Hidcote, Rousham, Seizencote, Bourton House, Highgrove, Kiftsgate, Waterperry, Westonbirt and Batsford Arboretums.

Or maybe you would like to purchase – then you should visit The Burford Garden Centre – it’s more than just a place for plants, but also great for gifts, art, food and wines and all beautifully displayed. It is just a five minute drive from The Chestnuts.
