5 star a beautiful house, clean, spacious, very comfortable, in a lovely village, just wonderful
We had a really lovely stay, what a beautiful house, so comfortable and spacious. And a fabulous garden, that lavender! All those busy little bumble bees. We love the surrounding area. The Swan, which we already knew was great - fabulous food.  Thanks for everything, it’s been great and we would love to book for next year. Best wishes.

Wonderful stay at Culls Cottage. Lovely Cottage with a beautiful garden. The boys really enjoyed running around outside with their toys. Close to the great Swan pub and lovely walks too. We hope to be back soon.

Just wanted to send you a heartfelt message from me to you regarding Culls Cottage. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with me and Bibi my dog. She has certainly felt at home rolling around the garden grass in the mornings and sunbathing. Your home has been the tonic that me and Bibi both needed and we sat every day with wonder looking at your beautiful willow tree and garden. Your taste from cutlery to kettles to white flowers is exactly what I have at my home. So in essence a home from home. As I sit here on my last evening I want to thank you for the peace we have had at your home that has given us this past few days. The morning buzz of bees and beautiful white butterflies are perfect with a morning coffee. To the beautiful willow tree blowing in the wind. A true haven. I am very sad to leave to be honest. Wish I could stay longer and live here for good to be honest. Thank you.

Spacious and comfortable cottage in a perfect village location.
Had a wonderful stay at CullsCottage. The cottage itself was spacious and modern with charming period features. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the large garden in the gorgeous weather. The village of Southrop is absolutely stunning and the location perfect for exploring the Cotswolds. Tried several of the recommended pubs and restaurants which did not disappoint. Very responsive and friendly host and a special thank you to the gardener who went out of her way to drive us to Burford when we are unable to get a taxi. 
And thank you for all the local recommendations for swimming spots during the heat wave. Highly recommend a stay at Culls Cottage.

Thanks so much – we had a lovely time despite the heat from Texas following us here! You have a lovely home – thank you for sharing it with us for a few days. We loved the gardens and the quiet mornings and the bumblebees in all their business. 
Visiting The Cotswolds for the first time and the house was the perfect landing spot. Perfect for short trips to many desirable spots in the area.
To visitors  - be sure to stop into The Swan for food and a pint in Southrop, also The Ox Barn and the Baa Bar nearby which are stunning and yummy.

Wonderful stay in The Cotswolds.
Magical stay in Culls Cottage. We loved the home – 1600’s charm and amazing modern kitchen. Beautiful quiet village and a great base to explore The Cotswolds and Bath. We cooked two wonderful meals enjoying the kitchen and the BBQ, and loved eating outdoors at the great table at the back of the garden. With gorgeous weather we ate out in the garden twice! Your Cotswold hike book was helpful we had an amazing 10 mile hike. 10 out of 10.

Culls Cottage was simply beautiful. We had such a brilliant time relaxing in the beautiful garden and lovely cottage. The cottage has absolutely everything we needed, including children’s games and baby highchair and travel cot. I can’t wait to be back.

The Chestnuts

July / June 2025

Great stay prior to and on my wedding day. Brilliant space for all the groomsmen the night before and with our partners the night of the wedding. Very spacious and great garden space. Would highly recommend. Thanks for a great stay.

We had the most wonderful stay in The Chestnuts. The village is perfect and quiet. When I booked, I was a little worried about noise, being on the road with a pub across the road. But we didn’t hear a peep. So peaceful and picturesque. The house had everything we needed and more. Lovely garden to enjoy and multiple break out lounge areas inside. Very well equipped kitchen. Fantastic tea and coffee facilities provided and high quality bathroom products. What a beautiful home to enjoy the gorgeous surrounds. Very central to see The Cotswolds. Highly recommended.

We had a fabulous stay at The Chestnuts. The house is lovely and very comfortable and well equipped. We love Shilton and the Shil ford are delightful. We especially enjoyed the Rose and Crown Pub, Matt was so fun and welcoming and delicious food. Thank you for al the valuable information about the house, the town, and the area. We appreciated reading the history and had a wonderful visit to Rousham Gardens prompted by your note that it was one of Monty Dons favourite gardens. (We love Monty Don). We leave with special memories of The Chestnuts, Shilton and The beautiful Cotswolds. The TouchStay App you provide is fabulous. It is really really valuable to have so much curated information to guide our stay given to us before we arrived. Thank you.

The was our first visit to The Cotswolds and it really lived up to our expectations. The house is absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean and furnished and decorated with style.  The modern kitchen area has been tastefully integrated with the original building. The garden is lovely, with many roses in full bloom and some comfortable seating areas which we were able to use despite the occasional shower. The village is a real Cotswold gem, with a ford through the local stream which runs past the bottom of the garden and a friendly pub which serves very good food close by. We enjoyed a day out in Picturesque Burford and wished we had booked a full week so we could have explored more of the area. We will be back.
